Handcrafted with care, from timber with soul

I founded Rustic Wood Finds in 2022 as a response to seeing incredible timber discarded. Salvaged barn beams and old flooring carry a history—wood that has spent decades serving a previous purpose.

Each item is carefully finished by me in my Kent studio and sent to your home.

My process begins with the raw timber. I honor the grain and unique history of the wood, letting its natural character guide my build. Every creation is unique as no two boards are alike.

Crafting: my hands involved throughout

I plane, sand, and finish every piece personally. By using only natural oils and waxes, I ensure the surface never peels, allowing the wood to age gracefully and develop a rich patina.

Usually, I require 4–8 weeks to complete an order. Quality takes time. If there is a particular deadline you have in mind, reach out to me and I will personally see what I can do.

Sourcing: finding wood with history

I hunt for timber at salvage yards and farm clearances. Every plank tells a story through its weathered saw marks and deep grain earned over time. Working with reclaimed material isn't just a choice—it's my passion. This wood is naturally seasoned, incredibly stable, and possesses a depth of character that new timber simply lacks. I embrace every knot and scar. Each unique detail is a testament to the wood's long life and is precisely why I choose to work with it.

Ethics: creating pieces that respect the environment

My goal is to create sustainable furniture that honors the earth. I handcraft every item from salvaged timber on a made-to-order basis, typically requiring 2–6 weeks to finish a project just for you.

I take on work at any scale—from heavy-duty garden benches made of oak sleepers to custom-designed kitchen islands built specifically to fit into your unique home layout.

From small details to large furniture, I put my full focus into every grain. Thank you for visiting my site and supporting a local maker.
